Mr. Edward Garvey
Minnesota Public Utilities Commission
121 7th Place East., Suite 350
St. Paul, MN 55101-2147
Dear Mr. Garvey:
Ralph Hilgendorf and I appreciate all forty-five minutes you devoted to
meeting with us
today to receive our declaration of support for the Crees of Manitoba. It
was good to hear
from you that your decision-making process does include the factor of the
"public desire."
We hope our talk today, accompanied by the signatures of forty-three
individuals in our
Quaker community at Twin Cities Friends Meeting who endorse the declaration of
support, will prove to be a significant witness about the public desire of
Minnesotans to
disengage from our current involvement in the hydroelectric holocaust in
Manitoba.
Sincerely,
Diane J. Peterson
